Abstract

Background: Thyroid cancer is on the rise and is increasingly rejuvenating, significantly impacting the lives of young people today. The study was conducted to evaluate student’s knowledge, atitude, and practice regarding cervical cancer to propose solutions to improve knowledge and prevent the disease.

Materials and method: In a cross-sectional descriptive study, samples were randomly collected from full-time students at Lac Hong University in the fourth quarter of 2023. Data were statistically analyzed using Microsoft software Excel 2019 and SPSS 2020.

Results: 10.8% of students had good knowledge, some questions had a low correct answer rate such as changing the appearance of notes flies (17.7%), eating fewer fruits and vegetables (22.4%), and are over 70 years old (30.7%). Research shows that knowledge of warning signs will differ between students who have heard and have not heard about the disease, and differences in departments will lead to differences in practice. Students have good atitudes and practices with rates of 96.4% and 95.3% respectively, and have a very close correlation with each other (r = 0.512).

Conclusion: With a positive atitude and proactive practice, Lac Hong University should organize seminars and workshops to help students gain good knowledge about the disease.
