Abstract
Background: Intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) accounts for the highest of hospital mortality of all stroke types, outcome is favourable in about 12-39% of patients. There are many clinical prognostic evaluation scales such as NIHSS, Glasgow, ICH, mICH-A, mICH-B, FUNC and more recently, the ESSEN scale studied by Weimar et al. in 2006. Despite several existing outcome prediction models for ICH, most of them to predict the hospital mortality but only some models for prediction the complete outcome after 100 days in patients with ICH. Objectives: (1) To survey the characteristics of clinical scales in patients with cerebral hemorrhage; (2) To evaluate the prognostic value of the clinical scale with the outcome of patients with cerebral hemorrhage after 100 days. Subject and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 120 patients with spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage at Hue Central Hospital from 06/2019-02/2020. The patients were assessed on the Essen ICH (include: age, NIHSS, NIHSS LOC) Glasgow, ICH, mICH and other factor on 24 hours onset and follow up of 100 days. Statistical analysis was carried out with the program package SPSS version 20.0. Logistic was used to determine of independent risque factors and scales value was determined by ROC curve. Results: median age was 64.32±13.625, NIHSS was 15.17±10.793, 43.3% patients with NIHSS LOC was 0. Essen ICH = 0 about 93.8% patients complete recovery and with Essen ICH ≥ 7 had 100% death.| Published | 2022-02-28 | |
